---- — Some New Hampshire officials are still deliberating whether to hold deliberative sessions, with a snowstorm expected to dump 10 to 14 inches on the region.

Pelham school officials are still hoping to hold tonight’s scheduled school deliberative session, where details on a $22 million Pelham High expansion will be aired.

“Deliberative has not been postponed at this time,” Superintendent Amanda Lecaroz said yesterday afternoon. “We are still planning to hold it.”

A final decision on postponement was expected this afternoon. Officials said people should check the school district website, pelhamsd.org.

School moderator Paul Leonard, in a message posted on the town electronic message board yesterday, said the decision whether to convene would be announced no later than 4 p.m. today.

Leonard said officials want to get an accurate assessment of the storm and road conditions today.

“If these present an unsafe situation, we will announce a postponement,” Leonard said.

School Board Chairman Brian Carton said if the meeting is postponed it would likely be rescheduled for Friday night or Saturday.

“The plan is we’re going to stick to the original schedule if at all possible,” Carton said.

The deliberative session is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Sherburne Hall, 6 Village Green.

Sanborn Regional School District’s deliberative session also remained scheduled for tonight.

Officials said people should check the district’s website, sau17.org, during today to be sure it is still taking place.

On the district website late yesterday afternoon, officials said the snow date for the session would be at 7 p.m. tomorrow, but it had not been postponed late yesterday.

The Sanborn session is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Sanborn Regional High School, 17 Danville Road, Kingston.

New Hampshire towns and school districts are able, under state law, to postpone deliberative sessions for up to 72 hours.

A snowstorm last winter forced Windham to postpone both the town and school deliberative sessions.
