Timberlane hires new assistant superintendent

PLAISTOW — School Administrative Unit 55 officials didn’t have to look far when searching for a new assistant superintendent.

Roxanne Wilson, director of pupil personnel services for the Timberlane Regional School District, will assume the post July 1.

She will replace Winifried Feneberg, who will become Windham’s first superintendent this summer. Windham will officially leave Pelham and SAU 28 July 1; Feneberg will become the first superintendent of SAU 95.

Wilson has held her current position for two years. She has 15 years experience as an assistant superintendent, nine in Henniker, six in SAU 28.

”She possesses leadership experience in the areas of curriculum development, professional development, assessment and personnel, special education,” SAU Board Chairman Michael Mascola said in a prepared statement. “Dr. Wilson is a dynamic leader who is highly respected by her peers. The board expects her leadership abilities and commitment to success will be an asset to the continued successes of both Hampstead and Timberlane endeavors.”

Wilson has a bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s degree in counseling, a certificate of graduate studies in educational leadership and a doctorate in education.

Feneberg has been assistant superintendent of SAU 55 since 2007. Before that, he was special education director for Hampstead and school psychologist for Timberlane.

It’s the second big change at the top of the SAU’s administrative staff in less than a year. Superintendent Earl Metzler started work in September, replacing Richard La Salle, who left at the end of the last school year.
