NEWTON — Two longtime town road agents will face off against each other in the election Tuesday.
Michael Pivero is looking to serve as road agent for another three years and will compete against Frank Gibbs.
Pivero has held the job since 2008 when he defeated Gibbs, who had been road agent for nine years.
Both candidates said if elected, their goal is to maximize use of the highway budget to make sure the town’s needs are met.
Voting will be at Town Hall from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
