SALEM — Placement of bridge girders at Interstate 93 Exit 2 will result in overnight lane closures next week, state transportation officials said.
The work will be from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday, and will close a southbound lane.
The work also will mean a detour from Route 97/Pelham Road via South Policy, Lowell and Stiles Roads.
Message boards and signs will help motorists through the detour.
Robotics team finishes third
PELHAM — The Pelham High robotics team claimed third place in the recent Granite State District competition, held in Nashua. Thirty nine teams competed. The team received the Excellence in Engineering Award.
Atkinson hosts trip to flower show
ATKINSON — Atkinson Recreation is hosting an upcoming trip to the Boston Flower Show on March 14.
The bus will leave from the Atkinson Community Center at 9 a.m. and return to Atkinson at 4 p.m. The cost of this trip is $25 for Atkinson residents, $30 for nonresidents. Lunch is not included in the cost.

KINGSTON — The Kingston Lake Association will hold three raffles Tuesday. Look for their table in the foyer of Swasey Gym.

ATKINSON — Head to Kimball Library before March 15 to cast a vote for the People’s Choice Award in the Atkinson Women’s Civic Club photography contest.
The photos are on display in the library meeting room.
