Three vie for Atkinson selectman's seat

ATKINSON — There will be a different face on the Board of Selectmen after elections Tuesday.

Craig Schuster, Scott Mitchell and Harold Morse are all seeking a three-year term.

Schuster has run unsuccessfully for selectman the last two years. He was appointed selectman for five months in October 2011. He currently serves on the Budget Committee.

Mitchell moved to Atkinson in 2008 and has served in the U.S. Army.

Morse, who is the chairman of the Budget Committee, did not respond to the questionnaire.

Occupation: Combat veteran, law enforcement officer

Elective experience: None

What is the single most important issue facing the selectmen?: The well contaminations and the future preservation of essential natural resources.
