DANVILLE — Police and rescue personnel are still at the scene of a bad accident on Route 111 nearly two and a half hours after it occurred.
A stretch of the highway near the Kingston town line remains closed. A Danville firefighter said the first call came in at 6:03 p.m.
Two medical helicopters landed on the road earlier and it's reported two victims were flown from the scene to area hospitals.
Numerous police departments are at the scene, some helping by blocking Route 111 on either side of the accident scene. The departments include police from Kingston, Danville, East Kingston, Fremont, Brentwood, the Rockingham County Sheriff's Department and the New Hampshire State Police.
It is still unknown how many vehicles and how many people were involved in the crash.
