KINGSTON — A Danville man has been charged with threatening people with a gun in the Sanborn Regional High School parking lot Monday.
Timothy Soucy, 18, a former student at the school, was arrested on two counts of criminal threatening, state police said.
Soucy was arrested at his home shortly after the incident, which led to a lockdown of the school about 12:15 p.m. Monday.
The school remained locked down for nearly an hour as officers from almost a dozen law enforcement agencies responded.
Classes resumed after the lockdown ended, school Superintendent Brian Blake said.
State police also took a woman into custody when they arrested Soucy, but she was released and does not face charges, according to Lt. Christopher Vetter of the New Hampshire State Police.
State police did not say whether a weapon was seized, but confirmed additional charges could be filed as they continue to investigate.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked call state police Sgt. Melissa Robles or Trooper John Kelly at 223-8490.
