Casting calls in Pelham

PELHAM — Pelham Parks and Recreation’s winter theater program will perform “White as Snow, Red as Blood.”

Production begins Nov. 12 with actors ages 6 and up needed.

The show will be staged Jan. 24 and 25 at Sherburne Hall.

Production also is starting Nov. 20 for “Death Defying Acts,” for actors ages 10 and up.

The show will be Feb. 14 and 15 in Sherburne Hall.

Cost is $145 per actor, $115 for each additional family member.

Sanborn hosts workshop for parents

KINGSTON — A free workshop for parents, “Understanding Your Child’s Learning Style” will be offered Thursday, Nov. 14, at Sanborn Regional High School.

The workshop, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., will teach parents how to identify learning styles and how they can support their child.

Preregistration is required by calling 224-7005 or emailing frontdesk@picnh.org and providing a name and phone number.

The name and date of the workshop should be mentioned as well as any need for special accommodations.

The school is at 17 Danville Road.

Salem Lions Club helps shelter

SALEM — A Safe Place, a Portsmouth-based emergency shelter for women and their children, has purchased a new alarm and security system with help from The Lions Club of Salem. The club donated $6,475 to the shelter, according to A Safe Place.

Craft fair scheduled in Pelham

PELHAM — Pelham ACES holds a craft fair Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Memorial School, 59 Marsh Road.

There will be raffles, snacks, music and more.
