Former TSA worker faces child porn charges

LONDONDERRY — A former Transportation Security Administration employee has been arrested on child pornography charges after items were seized from his locker at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

Miguel Quinones, 38, of 67 Whittemore Ave., Manchester, faces 10 felony counts after he turned himself over to police on an arrest warrant yesterday, according to Londonderry police Lt. Timothy Jones.

Police and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force have been investigating Quinones for six months, Jones said.

Londonderry police were notified by the task force Jan. 2 that Quinones voluntarily turned over his personal laptop computer and three thumb drives found in his airport locker, Jones said. Quinones is no longer a TSA employee, he said.

The task force recently determined that Quinones possessed a video and more than 1,000 images of child pornography, Jones said. An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday.

Quinones was arraigned yesterday in 10th Circuit Court in Derry and ordered held on $25,000 cash bail. He is being held at the county jail in Brentwood.
