PELHAM — The Pelham Parks and Recreation’s children’s theater group stages the “Wizard of Oz” Friday and Saturday at Sherburne Hall, 6 Village Green.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. both days, with a 4 p.m. matinee Saturday. There is no admission charge.
The advanced student group will perform “Lizzie and the Lighthouse” Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29. Showtimes are again at 7 p.m. both days, with a 4 p.m. matinee Saturday.

Summer concert series kicks off
HAMPSTEAD — The Reminisants, a six-man oldies band, will kick off Hampstead’s free concert series on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The Reminisants have played with the Beach Boys, Chubby Checker and B.J. Thomas. Picnic lunches are encouraged at the concerts in Meetinghouse Park behind the Town Office Building at 11 Main St.

‘Dig into Reading’ at Gale Library
NEWTON — Gale Library has been awarded a NH Kids, Books and Arts Grant to kick off its Summer Reading Program, “Dig Into Reading” with a performance from Mad Science at 6:30 p.m. June 26 at Town Hall.
“Dig Into Science!” is a 45-minute, fun-filled, science performance, designed to get kids of all ages excited about the science that happens underneath the ground. The science of “digging deep” is presented with topics such as earth’s layers, stalactites and stalagmites, soggy soil, underground creatures, tectonic plates and earthquakes, and volcanoes.
Salem history college offers open house
SALEM — American College of History and Legal Studies will host an open house Wednesday, June 26, at 1 p.m.
Guests will get a chance to meet the college’s faculty and mingle with students. There will be presentations on the college’s programs, including the Early Admission to Law School program.
