---- — LONDONDERRY β€” A juvenile faces multiple charges after a pursuit early Friday that started in Londonderry and ended after a foot chase in Hudson.

It started at 12:38 a.m., according to Hudson police. That department had been notified by Londonderry police that they were following a brown 2007 Toyota Sequoia that refused to stop for an officer.

Londonderry stopped the pursuit due to the high rate of speed of the Toyota, police said, but continued to follow the car at a safe distance.

The Toyota was traveling south on Griffin Road, then merged onto Robinson Road and continued south. The suspect driver then turned into a driveway across from the intersection of Robinson and Lawrence Roads.

As the Londonderry officer, still following the Toyota, entered the intersection, the suspect backed up and struck the cruiser, according to Hudson police. The Toyota driver then fled north on Robinson Road, traveling at a high rate of speed.

The car hit β€œan unknown object,” causing its front and rear tires to deflate, police said. The airbags deployed and the suspect fled on foot on Griffin Road.

Hudson and Londonderry officers chased the suspect through a swampy wooded area on Robinson Road and caught him shortly thereafter, police said. Police are only identifying the suspect as a juvenile.

The suspect is charged with two misdemeanors, disobeying a police officer and conduct after an accident, as well as two violations, reckless driving and operating without a valid license.

The juvenile is scheduled to be arraigned in 9th Circuit Court on July 11.

No one was injured in the incident.
