Flu shot clinic

WINDHAM — Warde Health Center, 21 Searles Road, and Maxim Health Systems will hold a flu shot clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 17.
There is no co-pay for Medicare Part B participants. Others pay $30. Pneumonia shots also are available. Medicare Part B participants are free. Others pay $75.

Self-defense class presented in Pelham
PELHAM — Police are hosting a free rape aggression defense class for women.
The program focuses on self-defense, awareness and avoidance. The class is Oct. 16, 18 and 23.
Participants have to attend all three sessions. Sessions will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

PELHAM — Tuesday with Stories is a new book club for fourth- through sixth-graders at Pelham Public Library.
The club will meet monthly, starting Oct. 16 at 3:30 p.m., for an hourlong session.
