Harlem Wizards to play at Sanborn

KINGSTON — The Harlem Wizards will take on Sanborn School District staff members, playing as Sanborn Geeks in Sneaks, Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Sanborn High School.

Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.

The event is hosted by the Memorial School PTO and proceeds will benefit that group.

Mall hosts Book Blast event Saturday

SALEM — On Saturday, Simon Kidgits Club at The Mall at Rockingham Park, kicks off its annual Book Blast event and invites families to join in the outer space themed adventure that celebrates books and the joy of reading.

The event offerings include a read-aloud session, set to take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lord & Taylor Court, Level 2.

Children are invited to bring a new or gently used book to the event to be donated to Family Continuity. Williams-Sonoma will provide a Stars Wars cookie decorating activity.

Kidgits members can decorate library totes, create shining star crafts, participate in connect the stars activity and design their own solar system.

SANDOWN — The Sandown Garden Club is hosting “New Ideas in Gardening” Monday at 7 p.m. at the recreation center on Pheasant Run Drive.

Gale Library offers vacation week fun

NEWTON — Gale Library has plenty of ideas for students on winter break.

“The Brave Little Toaster” will be shown at 1 p.m. today. Popcorn will be provided.

Tonight, from 6 to 7:30, tweens and teens are invited to join Wii Game Night.

On Friday, the library will show the PG-rated “Hotel Transylvania” at 1 p.m.

PLAISTOW — AARP is offering free tax help at the Vic Geary Center every Wednesday and every other Monday through April 14.

KINGSTON — The Kingston Library is holding a Harry Potter marathon Friday, starting at 10 a.m. and continuing until 11 p.m.

Pizza will be served around noon and again at 6 and 10 p.m.
