Craig MacFarland, D.C., received his doctor of chiropractic degree during commencement exercises at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Fla., on Sept. 21.

MacFarland currently resides in New Market and will be establishing a clinic in New Hampshire. He is the son of David and Debra MacFarland of Hampstead.

Kristen D’Entremont, daughter of Steve and Cathy D’Entremont of Salem, a first-year student at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, participated in the college’s annual White Coat Ceremony to formally recognize the transition students make from lay persons to those assuming the responsibility of physicians.

Michaela Moran, daughter of Lori and Kevin Moran of Atkinson, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2012 fall semester at the University of New England. A 2012 graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Moran is majoring in exercise science — pre-physical therapy. She is also actively involved at the university in cross country.

Brandon Payzant of Pelham achieved honors for the first quarter at Boston College High School. Payzant is a member of the class of 2016.

Emily Manzik made the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at High Point University in High Point, N.C. She is the daughter of Nancy Lange and Stephen Manzik of Hampstead.

Michael Michalczyk has been named to the dean’s list for the second semester of the 2011-2012 year at the College of the Holy Cross. Michalczyk, who completed his third year, is majoring in psychology, pre-med. He is the son of John and Linda Michalczyk of Hampstead.

Emily Manning of Londonderry has earned a place on the spring dean’s list in the College of Arts and Sciences at Drexel University.

Neal Drapeau achieved Eagle Rank in Boy Scouts, the highest honor in scouting awards. He is in Troop 267, Salem.
