DERRY — Town Clerk Denise Neale has been on the job for seven years. Next week, she faces a challenger in her bid for re-election to a three-year term.
Former town councilor Janet Fairbanks hopes to oust Neale.
"(This office) is a critical component of our town government," she said.
Fairbanks cited her years of bookkeeping experience and her experience on the Town Council as good reasons to vote for her.
But Neale said wants to continue to do a careful and efficient job.
