Three run for Kingston town clerk/tax collector

KINGSTON — Two candidates seek to end Bettie Ouellette's longtime reign as town clerk and tax collector.

Ouellette has served as tax collector for 52 years and town clerk for 42 years. Her daughter Holly Ouellette is deputy town clerk and tax collector.

Bettie Ouellette faces a challenge for the three-year term from Laura Stevens and Melissa Fowler.

Fowler ran for the post in 2006 and 2009. The election is March 13.
