Fun on the agenda for Plaistow vacation week

PLAISTOW — The Plaistow Recreation Department and Plaistow Public Library are teaming up for a week full of fun during school vacation week, Feb. 25-March 1.

On Monday, Feb. 25, head to the library and enjoy a craft to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! Craft fun begins at 10 a.m.

On Tuesday, Feb. 26, come to the library at 1 p.m. and learn about sound. How much racket can you make with a garbage can?

On Wednesday, Feb. 27, meet Jerry Schneider, The Butterfly Guy. Learn about butterflies and end with making a butterfly shirt. Bring a white T-shirt to decorate. The event at the library begins at 10:30 a.m.

On Thursday, Feb. 28, join folk singer Rick Goldin for storytelling and song at the library at 1:30 a.m. Sign up for a painting class at Michelle’s Creative Expressions from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $12 per student.

Finally, on Friday, March 1, join in for a free skate at Skateland in Bradford. Skate rentals are $3. Free skate is from 10 a.m. to noon.

All events are for Plaistow residents only. Participants must preregister by Feb. 22. Call 382-5200, Ext. 18.
