SALEM — Salem Family Resources-Success By 6 and the Salem School District will host a “Ready, Set, Go!” workshop on Tuesday, April 9, at 9:30 a.m. at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church community center, 171 Zion Hill Road for families of young children, birth to 5 years old.
The topic is building early literacy and reading skills. There is no cost to attend.
Teachers from the Salem School District and early childhood educators from The Learning Cooperative Preschool of Salem Family Resources will present information about what families can do while their children are young so their children will be ready to become successful readers when they are in school.
The “Ready, Set, Go!” workshops are a series of information sessions offering fun and easy tips on early learning at home that help children to be prepared for success when they enter school. Parents are their children’s first teachers, and experiences during the early years from birth to 5 years old build a strong foundation for life-long learning.
Children of all ages are welcome. Childcare with fun activities will be provided at no cost.
