SALEM — On Oct. 17, Salem High School’s FBLA went to the 41st fall leadership workshop at Daniel Webster College.
The students participated in various workshops including Sports Management; Game Design; Homeland Security; Interviewing Do’s and Don’ts; Money, Money; Physics; Business Dining Etiquette; Air Traffic Control; College 101; and a campus tour.
Every student also participated in an “Apprentice”-based activity. Participants got into groups and created an invention using only the materials that were provided. All inventions were judged by a panel of judges; winners were announced at the end of the workshop.
In addition, schools were encouraged to create a shoe-themed piggy bank to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. Overall, FBLA raised more than $1,000.
