HAMPSTEAD — Anyone can get a free eye exam, hearing exam and posture analysis in town this weekend.
The 11th annual Multi-Community Health Fair is on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Hampstead Middle School.
"We have a pediatric physical therapist doing scoliosis screenings and a doctor who is a Lyme disease specialist," organizer Berny Longbook said, "I could go on and on. We have 36 different groups coming, including Parkland Medical Center and Exeter Hospital."
This year, the fair has new holistic health options, including an acupuncturist and a reflexologist, who analyzes different parts of the body.
"We've added more holistic health just so we're encompassing everyone's beliefs," Longbook said.
People of all ages are welcome to attend.
"We try to cover from 6 months up to senior citizens, offering screening and health information," she said. "Everything is free of charge and we usually get between 200 and 300 people."
There will be a raffle and 60 children's bike helmets for the first visitors. Longbook said the event has remained popular for the past decade because people enjoy getting free information and gifts.
"This is the 11th year, so we must be doing something right," Longbook said.
For more information on the fair, call Berny Longbook at 329-5603 or Michelle Bernard at 329-6743, Ext. 8.
