Samuel Batton, a 2009 graduate of Londonderry High School, was the recipient of the Northeastern Young Lumber Execs scholarship award on Feb. 4. Sam was eligible for the award because his mother, Hallie Batton, works for Benson Lumber and Hardware in Londonderry. In his absence his father, Tom, accepted his award at the World Trade Center in Boston. Sam currently is attending the University of New Hampshire and majoring in mechanical engineering.
