SALEM — Salem Family Resources-Success By 6 and the Salem School District will host a “Ready ... Set ... Go!” workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 5:30 p.m. at Barron Elementary School, 55 Butler St., for families of young children, birth to 5 years old.
The topic is building early reading skills. There is no cost to attend.
Teachers from the Salem School District and early childhood educators from Salem Family Resources will present information about what families can do while their children are young so their children will be ready for success when they enter kindergarten.
The “Ready ... Set ... Go!” workshops are a series of information sessions offering fun and easy tips on early learning at home that will help children to be prepared for success when they enter school. Parents are their children’s first teachers, and experiences during the early years from birth to 5 years old, build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Children of all ages are welcome. Childcare with fun activities will be provided at no cost.
A light dinner of pizza and salad will begin this session.
