---- — WINDHAM — The Local Government Center is returning $162,000 to the town from its medical and dental insurance programs.
Selectmen formally accepted the funds at their meeting Monday.
Town Administrator David Sullivan said selectmen will determine later this month how the money should be used.
The center characterized the funds as a return of surplus.
"It's a formality. By the end of the year, we have to have a formal acceptance," Sullivan told selectmen.
Selectmen, meanwhile, accepted about $8,800 in federal funds to pay for electronic citation equipment used by the police.
