Join Santa for breakfast Saturday

HAMPSTEAD — The Hampstead Mothers’ Club will host Breakfast with Santa Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at Hampstead Central School.

Enjoy pancakes, sausage and beverages.

There will be crafts for the children. Santa will be ready to visit and pose for photos.

Historical Society hosts tree-lighting

NEWTON — The Newton Historical Society will hold its annual Christmas tree-lighting Sunday at the museum, 22 South Main St.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m.

Children will put decorations on the Christmas tree, then visit with Santa and Elf Tina.

The tree will light up at 6 p.m., followed by hot chocolate and cookies.

Register now for senior luncheon

PLAISTOW — The Plaistow annual senior luncheon will be Dec. 18 at Town Hall at 12:30.

The luncheon will be highlighted by a performance from The Smoothies, a jazz-pop duo.

The deadline for registration is Dec. 8.

The luncheon is only open to Plaistow residents. Residents can register by calling 382-5200, Ext. 18.

Kingston firefighters collect toys, clothes

KINGSTON — The Kingston Fire Department is collecting new toys and winter clothing for local children.

Drop new, unwrapped toys, coats, sneakers, boots and other warm clothing at the fire station.

Knights go Italian in Hampstead

HAMPSTEAD — The Knights of Columbus Maximilian Kolbe Council will serve an Italian dinner Saturday at 5 p.m. at St. Anne Church hall on Emerson Avenue.

The menu includes spaghetti, stuffed manicotti, meatballs, sausage, salad, dessert and beverages.

The requested donation is $7 for adults, $3 for children under 12.
