Gun charge dropped against Londonderry man

TILTON (AP) — A Londonderry man accused of threatening another driver with a gun last summer no longer faces charges because the alleged victim has died.

Philip Tufano was charged with criminal threatening in August after an incident on Interstate 93. He says he held up his still-holstered gun to try to diffuse the situation after another driver ran him off the road.

The Merrimack County attorney's office dropped the charges last month after the other driver, Paul DeFilippo, 48, of Wilmington, Mass., was stabbed to death.

Tufano said the incident cost him $5,000 in legal fees, and state police still haven't returned his $900 gun and $100 holster.
