Shaw's Supermarkets announced that Christina Marescia, a Salem High School graduate, has been selected as a recipient of a Shaw's scholarship for $1,000.
Marescia has been attending the University of Maine in Orono. She has participated in the Nutrition Club as secretary, and in the UMaine Outing Club. She is pursuing a major in human nutrition/pre-medicine. She is the daughter of Theresa Marescia.

Jean-Luc A. Laurent of Windham received a bachelor of arts in music with a major in professional music from Berklee College of Music on May 9. Laurent, the son of Jean and Suzanne Laurent of Windham, plans to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in studio drumming and performing.
