---- — LONDONDERRY, N.H. — A 21-year-old Londonderry man suffered serious injuries last night in a rollover car crash on Litchfield Road near the intersection of Kelley Road, police said.
Police were withholding the name of the victim, pending notification of relatives. He was transported by medical helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries, police said.
Investigators believe that speed was a factor in the crash that occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m., Londonderry police Sgt. Adam Dyer said.
The man’s 2004 Volkswagen GTI struck a utility pole and a rock wall in front a new home at 24 Litchfield Road before rolling over. Initial reports indicated the driver had been ejected from the vehicle.
“He was found outside the car,” Dyer said.
“But our investigation revealed that he was pulled from the vehicle by a good Samaritan and pulled to the side of the road,” Dyer said.
Weather conditions did not contribute to the crash, police said.
