Hampstead man honored by Celtics

HAMPSTEAD — Jerry Robbins of Hampstead was honored Aug. 6 by the Boston Celtics for his support of the Heroes Among Us program.

Robbins’ company, Weldon Worldwide, provided free transportation to each recipient of the Celtics’ “Heroes Among Us” award at each home game.

Robbins was presented with a framed collage for his six years of participating in the program.

Concert slated in Windham

WINDHAM — The Jandee Lee Porter Band performs Aug. 22 from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. in Griffin Park, 101 Range Road.

Last concert of summer set in Hampstead

HAMPSTEAD — The Hampstead Meeting House summer concert series will conclude on Aug. 20 with the B Siders’ tribute to John Penny.

The concert begins at 6 p.m. and participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks and bug spray.

Hampstead Meeting House is located at 11 Main St.

Pelham offers ballroom dancing

PELHAM — A ballroom dancing class will be held for four weeks starting Sept. 11 at Feel the Rhythm Ballroom in Dracut.

Cost is $60 per person or $100 per couple. Classes are for ages 16 and up.

Pianist, composer performs in Newton

NEWTON — Pianist and composer Deborrah Wyndham will perform a free concert Sept. 16 at Gale Library.

Wyndham, who has appeared on Fox, NBC and ABC, will be at the library at 6:30 p.m.
