Parents, help ready your child for school
SALEM — Salem Family Resources-Success By 6, in collaboration with the Salem School District, will host a “Ready, Set, Go!” school readiness workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at 171 Zion Hill Road, in the Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church community center.
Speech and language pathologist Aida Koocher, from the Salem School District, will present fun and easy tips on early language learning at home that help children prepare for success when they enter school. She also will present guidelines for speech development and expectations in the early years.
Parents are their children’s first teachers, and experiences during the early years from birth to 5 years old build a strong foundation for life-long learning.
There is no cost to attend this workshop. Children are welcome. Childcare with fun activities will be available.
