Suspects sought in phone theft

---- — SALEM The Salem Police Department is investigating the theft of a Galaxy SIII cell phone from the T-Mobile Store at 125 S. Broadway on Jan. 28 at around 7:30 p.m.

The suspects were described as two men in their early 20s. One was wearing a white Boston Celtics cap and an Abercrombie and Fitch jacket. The second suspect was wearing a red shirt under a black shirt with a black baseball cap.

The first suspect distracted the employee, police said, while the second cut a security cord to the phone.

The store employee heard the wire being cut and asked for the phone. The suspects ignored the request and walked out of the store.
