SALEM — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation plans night work next week associated with the construction of the new Interstate 93 Exit 2 Interchange in Salem.
Weather permitting, the installation of portable concrete barrier along I-93 southbound will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday.
It’s anticipated this work will take five nights to complete, although additional days may be required.
Construction operations will require traffic on I-93 southbound to be reduced to one lane. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.
This work is part of the I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor for this work is George R. Cairns & Sons Inc. of Windham.
