Two vie for Pelham cemetery trustee

PELHAM — A former trustee is challenging an incumbent in a two-way race for cemetery trustee.

Richard Jensen is taking on incumbent Walter Kosik for a three-year term.

Both candidates say their platform revolves around the future of cemetery operations.

Here is a look at the candidates:

Richard Jensen

Age: 56

Occupation: Equipment operator

Incumbent: No

What is the single most important issue facing the cemetery trustees? To see that land the town owns becomes deeded to the cemetery for future use and continues to be run efficiently in the future.

Walter Kosik

Age: Refused to disclose

Occupation: Retired plumber

Incumbent: Yes

What is the single most important issue facing the cemetery trustees? To ensure the continued cemetery expansion and maintain a lovely place for our loved ones to rest forever with respect, dignity, peace and honor.
