LONDONDERRY— A local teen was arrested Tuesday for the third time in a month.
Geoffrey Speers, 18, of 22 Woods Ave. faces three theft charges in February.
Police said Speers was at a friend’s house on Feb. 4 and stole his friend’s Beats headphones.
“He was just at his friend’s house, hanging out,” Lt. Kevin Cavallaro said. “The mother called us and said the headphones were taken while he was in the house.”
Speers admitted to police that he stole the headphones, Cavallaro said. Speers was arrested, charged with theft and released on $2,000 personal recognizance.
About a week later, police arrested Speers again.
In that case, Speers’ father reported $1,700 missing from his home safe. His son admitted taking the money and turned himself in to police. He was charged with theft from a building. That time, he was released on $2,500 cash bail.
This week, Speers once again found himself in trouble.
On Tuesday, Speers’ stepsister discovered her Android cell phone was missing, police said.
After investigating, police once again determined Speers was the culprit and charged him again with theft.
On the third charge of the month, Speers was released on $8,000 personal recognizance.
He is due in 10th Circuit Court in Derry March 11.
