---- — HAMPSTEAD — Two newcomers are seeking an open seat on the Hampstead School Board.
Robert O’Brien and Jason Cipriano are each seeking a three-year term.
Board chairman Judy Graham decided not to run this year after years of service to the district on the School Board and Budget Committee.
Both candidates said they want to give the best educational experience to the district’s children as possible.
Here is a look at the candidates:
Robert O’Brien
Age: 67

Occupation: Retired
Elective Experience: Budget Committee
What is the most important issue facing the School Board? Families move to Hampstead because our schools have the reputation to be excellent. The School Board has the responsibility to meet that standard.
Jason Cipriano
Age: 33
Incumbent: No
Occupation: Supply chain manager, adjunct professor
Elective experience: None
What is the most important issue facing the School Board? Balancing the dual goals of providing the highest quality educational experience for our children while also minimizing the tax burden to residents.
