N.H. House not likely to support 3-day gas tax break
Some House Republicans are trying to make the Granite State a destination Memorial Day weekend. They would do that by cutting the gas tax 13 cents a gallon for the three-day weekend.

Salem burglary suspects' bail reduced
A mother pleaded with a judge yesterday to reduce her adult daughter's bail. The judge did, but apparently not low enough because Robyn DiChicco, 28, of Lawrence remained in jail yesterday afternoon.

Hampstead gets $13K grant to help pay for generator
HAMPSTEAD - Town Hall will have power the next time a big storm hits, thanks to a $13,000 federal grant.

The town received a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to buy a generator to power Town Hall in case of emergencies. The grant will pay for half the $25,000 price tag for a new generator, with the town paying the balance of $12,000 out of the capital reserve fund. - Suspect tells judge his family needs him at home
