DANVILLE: American Legion Post 115 will host a ceremony at 10:45 a.m. Monday at the veterans memorial in the center of town. The short ceremony will pay tribute to veterans past and present..
DERRY: Veterans Day begins Monday with Pinkerton Academy’s senior class hosting a free breakfast for veterans and guests from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Academy Building cafe. Traditional services will be held at 10:30 a.m. in MacGregor Park. Following service, VFW Post 1617 hosts an open house at its post on Railroad Avenue
HAMPSTEAD: There will be a ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday at Hampstead Middle School led by Col. Howell Steadman. The town will lay a wreath in front of a monument and raise the American flag.
KINGSTON: The Kingston Veterans Club invites all veterans to a celebration Monday. A group photo will be at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. The club is at 36 Church St.
LONDONDERRY: Veterans are treated to a free breakfast tomorrow from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Londonderry High School cafeteria. The event is hosted by the school’s Pay It Forward Club. Following breakfast, the American Legion presents its annual parade beginning at the high school at 10 a.m. The parade marches down Mammoth Road to the Town Common where traditional services follow. Refreshments follow at American Legion post home on Sargent Road.
PELHAM: The Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold an open house, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., tomorrow at the John H. Hargreaves Memorial Post, 6 Main St. A flag retirement ceremony is 11:30 a.m. The Veterans Day ceremony is at 11 a.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Park on Mammoth Road. A sunset service will be held at 4 p.m. at Gibson Cemetery, Marsh Road.
PLAISTOW: The Timberlane Community Band will host a Veterans Day concert on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Timberlane Performing Arts Center on Greenough Road. The band will perform a musical tribute to veterans. The program will include an ROTC color guard and accompanying bagpiper, with members of Atkinson’s Boy Scout Troop leading the pledge of allegiance. Plaistow police Lt. William Baldwin will deliver the keynote address. Admission is free.
The town will hold its Veterans Day ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday at Town Hall on Main Street. The town will then present citations to Korean War veterans at 11 a.m. at American Legion Post 34, 176 Main St.; lunch will follow.
