Breakfast to benefit Helping Hands

WINDHAM — A charity breakfast benefitting Helping Hands and the N.H. Muscular Dystrophy Association will be held Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Common Man.

There will be a buffet breakfast, auction and raffle. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children 10 and under.

Seniors, enjoy dinner in Sandown

SANDOWN — Sandown Recreation offers the annual Harvest Dinner for residents age 60 and older on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Route 111 Village Square Restaurant.

Seniors are invited to enjoy a free turkey dinner and entertainment.

Space is limited. Registration must be received by no later than Tuesday. Registration will close sooner if filled. Seniors must be a Sandown resident with ID if needed. Guests are limited to spouses only.

Doors will open no sooner than 11:30 a.m., with lunch promptly at noon. They cannot accommodate special diets. Call the recreation office at 887-1872 and leave a name and number. No walk-ins will be allowed on the day of the event.

Fines forgiven for food donations

NEWTON — it’s Fine Free Month at Gale Library.

All fines for overdue materials will be waived in exchange for donations of nonperishable food items for the Newton Food Pantry.

Canned goods, pasta, paper products and holiday supplies all are needed.
