There's still time to join Kingston triathlon

KINGSTON — There is still time to register for the Kingston Triathlon Inaugural Race scheduled for Aug. 11.

This is a multi-sport endurance event, including swimming, cycling, and running in succession over various distances. There is a quarter-mile swim, 15-mile bike and 3.1-mile run.

The race is USAT sanctioned and features CHIP timing. The race will start at 8 a.m. at the YMCA Camp Lincoln, 67 Ball Road.

Participants will receive shirts. Awards and prizes will be given out following the race with a post-race barbecue.

The race is being organized by the Atkinson Lions Club. Proceeds will benefit neuroblastoma research and local Lions charities.

Shop for art, frames at church sale

E. HAMPSTEAD — An Art and Frames Sale will be held Tuesday, July 30, through Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at East Hampstead Union Church, 225 E. Main Street, Route 121A, just south of Route 111.

The sale will feature a diverse selection of large and small framed wall art, paintings, prints, as well as used picture frames for decorators, crafters and artists. Help recycle.

The church is an interdenominational Christian fellowship serving the community since 1897. Proceeds benefit the Operating Fund. The church is chair-lift accessible. Call 378-0683.

PELHAM — A one-week camp featuring Brazilian-style soccer training for boys and girls ages 5 to 19 will be offered Aug. 5-9 at Muldoon Park.

Kuster staffers available in Atkinson

ATKINSON — On Tuesday, July 30, members of Congresswoman Kuster’s staff will hold mobile office hours in Atkinson from 2 to 4 p.m. at Town Hall, 21 Academy Ave.

The staff members will be available to meet individually with local residents who need help with federal agencies on a range of issues.
