MANCHESTER, N.H. — Four people, including a 20-year-old man from Windham, were arrested and charged with felony-reckless conduct yesterday afternoon for setting up a shooting range in the woods less than 100 yards off Interstate-93.
At approximately 4:15 p.m., Manchester police and New Hampshire state troopers responded to a report of multiple shots being fired in a wooded area between I-93 and several residences in Manchester.
An SUV registered in Massachusetts was located near the wooded area, at mile marker 17.4. Responding law enforcement personnel located four people in the wooded area “target shooting.”
They were approximately 87 yards east of the Interstate and were facing the highway while shooting. Traffic traveling northbound at the time was heavy.
All four men were arrested and transported to the Manchester Police Department for processing. They were identified as: Adam Kelly, 27, of Tacoma, Wash.; Sherif Hashem, 31, from Boston; Bryan Sola, 33, of Southington, Conn.; and Sean Kelly, 20, of Windham.
Police seized as evidence an assault rifle, two shotguns, three semi-automatic handguns and several hundred rounds of ammunition.
The four men were bailed and are scheduled to appear before the Manchester District Court on June 10.
