SALEM, N.H. — A crash involving three vehicles sent a motorcyclist to the hospital Thursday. The chain reaction reportedly started as Corey Bourque, 24, of Bristol, was driving a 2011 Harley Davidson east on Route 97 Thursday afternoon.
Police believe Jason Naroian, 34, of Haverhill was traveling west on Route 97 in a 2009 Honda Pilot.
Naroian was in the left turn lane, police said. He failed to yield to the motorcycle, police said, and turned left on to Hampstead Road toward Methuen.
Bourque couldn’t avoid a collision, police said, and his motorcycle struck the Honda Pilot. The motorcycle then veered into the westbound lane and struck a Mazda 3, driven by Stephanie Glazier of Sandown. Police said Glazier was stopped at a traffic light.
Bourque suffered injuries to his “lower extremities,” which were not life threatening, police said. He was taken to Lawrence General Hospital by the Salem Fire Department.
Naroian was issued a warning for failure to yield right of way.
