CANTERBURY — An Arizona resident is charged with reckless driving and following too close after New Hampshire State Police said they clocked her driving 111 mph on Interstate 93 just before 6 p.m. Sunday.
Denise Collins, 41, of Scottsdale is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 4 in Circuit Court in Concord.
Trooper 1st Class Jay LaPointe, a member of the state police Special Enforcement Unit was conducting traffic enforcement on I-93 when he clocked Collins’ white Range Rover at 41 mph over the posted speed limit, police said.
Collins was stopped after she came up behind slower traffic, police said.
That section of I-93 has a speed limit of 70 mph, unlike most of I-93. The Legislature increased the speed limit by 5 mph from Canterbury to the Vermont border.
