SALEM — A 92-year-old man was found in the woods Sunday afternoon, two hours after his daughter reported him missing.
William Harrison reportedly went outside at 12:30 p.m. to “get some sun,” but then could not be found.
Police, including a K-9 unit, responded to Kensington Place at 59 Cluff Road at 1:45 p.m.
Police searched the area, including nearby businesses and plazas.
At 3:45 p.m., K-9 Officer Dan Nelson and his partner Trigger found Harrison in the woods. He was in an area of rough terrain and Nelson couldn’t reach him, but was able to speak to him.
Salem Fire Department responded, got Harrison out of the woods and took him to a local hospital as a precaution.
