PELHAM — The center of town will be closed to all traffic Saturday, from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Both roundabouts will be paved — and closed.
To get in or out of Lyons Park, go from Nashua Road to Fire House Lane (behind the old fire station).
Windham Road will be closed at Hobbs Road, local traffic only beyond. That includes the transfer station.
Nashua Road will be closed at Brookview Drive, with only local traffic only beyond. That includes the senior center and Lyons Park.
Main Street will be closed at Bridge Street, with only local traffic only beyond, to include Beaver Valley and Hair Salon.
Marsh Road will be closed at Village Green.
All drivers are asked to use alternate routes Saturday. Access around Pelham Center can be accomplished by using Bridge Street, Hobbs Road, Tallant Road, Mammoth Road, Burns Road and Willow Street.
Detail officers and flaggers will have maps available to assist motorist with directions, police said.
Church serves soup and sandwiches
EAST HAMPSTEAD – A Public Soup and Sandwich Luncheon will be held on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Hampstead Union Church, 225 E. Main Street, Route 121A, just south of Route 111.
The menu will include a variety of soups and sandwiches, chips, pickles, assorted beverages and desserts. A suggested donation of $6 per person supports the church’s operating fund.

Group offers weight loss support
KINGSTON — The next monthly Weight Loss Support Group meeting will be Wednesday, from 7 to 8 p.m. at New Creation Healing Center, 80 Route 125.
This is an informal and free support group offering participants the opportunity to learn, share and support one another.
