Danville town offices adjust hours
DANVILLE — The selectmen’s and assessor’s offices will observe summer hours and be closed to the public on Fridays from May 31 through Labor Day, Sept. 2. Hours Monday through Thursday will remain the same, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Crafters, artists sign up for Summerfest
HAMPSTEAD — Crafters and artists are encouraged to sign up for the upcoming St. Anne Summerfest on July 27 on the Hampstead Town Green.
Booths are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities planned include a five-mile road race, a 5K fun walk, baking contest, kids’ games, food and bake sales, bounce tent, live entertainment, silent auction and raffles.

Learn some garden history at library
SALEM —Kelley Library hosts Thomas Mickey, a certified Master Gardener and author of the recently published “America’s Romance with the English Garden,” on Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Mickey will discuss the development of American gardening and the influence that 19th-century seed catalogs, which were colorfully illustrated with scenes of English-style gardens, had on it.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
