Shaheen staff members in Salem tomorrow

---- — SALEM — U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen’s staffers will hold office hours tomorrow from 11 a.m. to noon at the Ingram Senior Center, 1 Sally Sweet Way.

Staff members will be available to speak one-on-one with area residents who are seeking help with federal agencies on issues such as veterans’ benefits, federal taxes, housing, immigration and Social Security.

All area residents are encouraged to attend. For more information on the services available, or if you have any questions, call 647-7500.

Library program hits the road

HAMPSTEAD — There are still a lot of great events remaining for the Children’s Summer Reading Program at Hampstead Public Library.

Youth Services Librarian Patty Falconer hits the road and invites families to join her at the Hampstead Town Garage on Monday at 2 p.m.

Kids will get an up-close look at cool digging trucks. The garage is located on Stage Road/Route 121.

Newton offers Fisher Cats tickets

NEWTON — The Recreation Commission is offering tickets to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats game Sunday, Aug. 11.

The tickets, available at Town Hall, are $11. The team is playing Richmond at 3:05 p.m.

Ticket holders are eligible to receive the Hot dog Special — a hot dog, beverage and chips — for an additional $5.

WINDHAM — Members of U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen’s staff will hold office hours on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Nesmith Library.

Dig into the past in Derry

DERRY — Join “Digging into Derry: Genealogy,” part of Derry Public Library’s adult summer reading program on Monday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Join former Derry Public Library reference librarian and certified genealogist Christine Sharbrough for an informative evening about genealogical research using the tools and resources available through your library.

The library is at 64 E. Broadway.
