---- — SALEM — Kelley Library has a full slate of events planned for August.
On Thursday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m. head to the library for an acoustic evening with Two For Two. These versatile musicians cover classic rock, top 40 and modern country from the 1960s to the present.
The pair delivers their own flare to every song while engaging and encouraging audience participation is the musical journey.
On Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon it’s Touch A Truck Day. See big trucks from area businesses and service organizations, as well as the people who work with them.
Meet a converted biodiesel truck, a dump truck, a backhoe, a vacuum truck and a police cruiser. For a small fee, families can take a train ride to and from Kelley Library, race remote control cars and enjoy a refreshing treat.

The Salem Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Club returns from summer break on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 7:30 p.m. “The Many-Colored Land” by Julian May is the topic under discussion for this month’s meeting. Copies of the book are available through the library. New members are always welcome.
See “Ordinary People” Friday, Aug.9, at 6:30 p.m. at Movie Night. The film won the 1980 Best Picture, and stars Donald Sutherland, Mary Tyler Moore and Judd Hirsch. Movie nights are open to the public at no charge. Contact Paul at 898-7064 for more information.
On Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m., the Kelley Library Non-Fiction Book Group will be discussing “Double Cross: The True Story of the D-Day Spies” by Ben MacIntyre. Drop in for one discussion and come back for more.

On Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m. the long-running Kelley Library Book Group, facilitated by Joan Fardella, will discuss “The History of Love” by Nicole Krauss. Copies of the book are available at the library. New members are always welcome.
