A medical helicopter landed in the park-and-ride lot on Stage Road in Hampstead to fly the unidentified man to the hospital. Although the motorcyclist was conscious, his injuries were life-threatening,Tapley said. The man was wearing a helmet, he said. The driver of car, heading north, was not injured and the vehicle received minor damage, Tapley said.
