WINDHAM – A man who fled police in Windham was later captured by troopers after his car ran out of gas in Manchester, according to state police.
Joshua Blodgett, 25, no street address given, Manchester, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, disobeying a police officer, reckless conduct, driving after license suspension and resisting arrest after the 12:04 a.m. incident yesterday, state police said.
Right after midnight, troopers responded to Derry to assist local police with a motor vehicle pursuit. A 2011 Honda Civic with a Massachusetts license plate refused to stop for a Windham officer on Route 111 westbound. Londonderry police also started looking for the civic.
The Civic was found a short time later as it fled east Route 102 in Derry. The car continued onto Interstate 93 north and eventually onto Interstate 293 northbound. On I-293, in the city of Manchester, the Civic finally stopped after Blodgett ran out of gas, state police said.
Blodgett was held on $5,000 cash bail. His female passenger was taken into protective custody.
He will be arraigned in Manchester District Court on the charges.
