SANDOWN — Sandown Parks and Recreation is hosting a trip to see a holiday favorite in November. Tickets are expected to go fast.
Ralphie Parker wants only one thing for Christmas: an official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle. “A Christmas Story, The Musical” is the hilarious account of Ralphie’s desperate quest to ensure that this most perfect of gifts ends up under his tree this Christmas.
Sandown Parks and Recreation has your ticket for this favorite holiday classic, now in musical form. In-person registration opens to Sandown residents on July 8 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the recreation office on Pheasant Run Drive and to nonresidents beginning July 15.
The cost is $90 per person for residents, $95 for nonresidents. That includes coach bus transportation with pick-up in Sandown and Plaistow. Show time is 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. Ticket price reflects orchestra level seating at the Wang Theater in Boston. Take advantage of this fantastic trip offering as this ticket level sells for $95 per seat for the ticket alone.
A 50 percent per ticket non-refundable deposit will be accepted to hold a seat. All balances are required to be paid in full by no later than Oct. 1 or your ticket is released and will be sold. Don’t delay. Tickets are expected to go fast for this Tony-nominated musical.
All event information including registration form may be found at sandown.us. Payment is by check or money order only. No cash is accepted.
The Parks and Recreation Dept has a limited number of discounted Water Country tickets available for just $29.99 per person, a savings of $8 per ticket over the regular park price. Tickets are good any day the park is open during 2013.
Call the recreation office 887-1872 at least 48 hours in advance to reserve. Note that the water park offers tickets for children fewer than 48 inches tall for $24.99. The recreation office is closed on Fridays. Payment is by check or money order only payable to Sandown Recreation. No cash is accepted.
