A half dozen people have been arrested recently and charged with “doctor shopping” in Rockingham and Hillsborough counties.
The New Hampshire State Police Narcotics and Investigations Unit completed an investigation into prescription fraud for several months.
Those charged include Susan Pignato, 50, of Exeter on one count of obtaining a controlled drug by fraud; Michelle Darwish, 49, of Ossipee on one count of obtaining a controlled drug by fraud; Stephanie Mann, 37, of Merrimack on one count of obtaining a controlled drug by fraud; Julie Gilbody, 47, of Nashua on five counts of obtaining a controlled drug by fraud; John Fabiano, 27, of Lowell on a single count of uttering a forged/altered prescription; and Patricia Drake, 46, of New Hampton on one count of obtaining a controlled drug by fraud.

PLAISTOW— Mike Bent of Abrakidabra will perform a magic show at 6 p.m. tomorrow to kick off Plaistow Public Library’s summer reading program.
Bent won the 2009 Nickelodeon Parents’ Picks Award, and has performed at the White House six times.
Pizza will be served at 5 p.m. along with registrations and information about this year’s summer reading programs for children, teens and adults.

Art camp planned in Windham
WINDHAM — Art Explosion Camp, hosted by Wicked Cool for Kids, will be July 22-26.
The cost is $160 for this camp for boys and girls in grades one through six.

Girls, join in some fairy fun today
DERRY — Girls entering grades K-3 in the fall are invited for some Fairy Fun today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Robert Frost Farm.
Read the book “Fairy Houses,” make some fairy crafts, search for fairies on a short hike and make fairy houses while learning about Girl Scouts.
